Tim Henman fans were left with a nervous wait after torrential rain stopped play at Wimbledon.Spectators ran for cover after black clouds released a deluge of rain on the SW19 tennis venue.Henman is locked at one game all in the first set of his second round match against Spaniard Feliciano Lopez.Andy Roddick took advantage of the early good weather at Wimbledon to book his place in the third round before the heavens opened on the All England Club.The American beat Danai Udomchoke 6-3 6-4 7-6 (7-3) after the best part of a two-hour workout.Roger Federer was on the verge of his 50th straight victory on grass before the Wimbledon weather intervened.Federer led Argentinian teenager Juan Martin Del Potro by two sets to love and 2-0 in the third when rain forced the players off court one at 4.45pm.Martina Hingis and Serena Williams also beat the weather to secure places in the last 32 but 10th seed Daniela Hantuchova, eighth seed Anna Chakvetadze and 15th seed Patty Schnyder were all thwarted by the rain.Serena Williams was pushed hard by Alicia Molik but won 7-6 (7-4) 6-3 while top seed Justine Henin was rarely troubled by Russia's Vera Dushevina on Centre Court, easing to a 6-0 6-4 win.© Independent Television News Limited 2007.
