More than 170,000 people have descended on Worthy Farm in Pilton, Somerset for day two of the Glastonbury Festival.According to Avon and Somerset Police crime is up at this year's festival with 342 reports - compared to 177 in 2007.Theft from tents remains the major non-drug related crime at the festival with 179 reports, compared to 31 in 2007.Sgt Carolyn Crocker said: "We are continuing to work closely with security at the festival to educate festival goers about the dangers of leaving valuables in their tents and using the free lock ups the organisers provide."She added: "Overall, the festival remains very safe with no reported robberies and only a small number of other offences."New York rapper Jay-Z is due to perform on the Pyramid Stage later. His forthcoming performance has been greeted with much criticism. Many - including Oasis frontman Noel Gallagher - believe the hip-hop artist does not belong at the traditionally rock-based festival. But others - including Glastonbury founder Michael Eavis and his daughter Emily - say it's about time Glastonbury moved away from dominantly white, guitar-based bands and attracted a more varied, younger audience.Jay-Z has sold 50 million copies worldwide and is expected to perform hits from his ten studio albums including Hard Knock Life.
